At Carlton Hills, our goal is to help all of our students become college and career bound! As part of this campaign, each classroom "adopts" a college. Room K-1 has adopted West Virginia University as our college. Throughout the year, your child will be learning about WVU and how they can become college and career bound.
Mountaineer Pride
Every Friday, the students at Carlton Hills are encouraged to wear shirts to show school spirit for their adopted college. You can find WVU shirts online for $10-$20 by googling "WVU kid shirt". Another fun and inexpensive option would be to make a WVU shirt with supplies from the craft store.
WVU Chant
To help our students become more enthusiastic about their college, each classroom comes up with a cheer for their college. We have been practicing our cheer in class, but please practice it at home as well so they will be ready to perform it at our first assembly in October.
